Heat treatments

With a view of modifying the metallic alloys specific features in order to increase the technological quality of the parts, heat treatments are applied , using both the related facilities of the main workshops as well as those of the final heat treatment shop. These ones consist of :
- bogie hearth furnaces based on electric or gas heating and ceramic fibre lining ;
- vertical furnaces; with electric heating ;
- electric furnaces with salt baths ;
- oil or syntetic medium installations ;
-  fog quenching installations.
The operating temperature is registered on furnace diagram ,  using precincts and / or contact thermocouples.

Performances
Primary and final heat treatments are applied to castings and forgings of various dimensions.

Primary  heat treatments
The following parts can be heat treated :
-single castings  with the weight of max.200 tons or dimensions up to 24 m length , 10 m width and 6 m height ;
- cylindrical parts with lengths up to 24 m and the max.diameter imposed by the max.weight of 100 tons ;
- stainless steel.parts , tools and stencils . gear teeth .
                    

Final heat treatments
The following parts can be heat treated :
- single castings with the weight of max.50 tons or dimensions up to 12 m length , 5 m width and 3 m height .
 - cylindrical parts with lengths up to 10,5 m and the diameter of max.1,5 m , with the max.weights of 30 tons ;
- stainless.steel parts , tools and stencils , gear teeth.
